SafeScan ("we", "the App") is a hidden camera and surveillance device detection tool. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency about how your data is handled.
1. Data We Collect
None. SafeScan does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All scan results, room checklists, and settings are stored exclusively on your device.
2. Permissions & Sensor Access
WiFi & Bluetooth: Used to scan for nearby network devices during surveillance detection. Device names are analyzed locally for suspicious patterns. No network data is transmitted externally.
Magnetometer: Used to detect magnetic field anomalies that may indicate hidden electronic devices. Sensor data is processed in real-time and not stored beyond the active scan session.
Camera: Used for the lens detection feature (detecting reflective camera lenses via flashlight reflection). Images are processed locally and never uploaded.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
SafeScan offers optional Pro subscriptions processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not handle payment information directly. RevenueCat is used to verify subscription status. No personal identifiers are collected beyond the anonymous purchase receipt stored on your device.
4. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat: Subscription verification only. No personal data is shared.
Apple / Google: Payment processing governed by their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Retention
All data remains on your device. Deleting the App removes all associated data permanently. We have no access to and cannot recover your data.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
